Event Information

The French Beginners Plus group meets on Friday morning in room G14 at the Moorlands College, from 0930-1130. We operate from late September through to Easter.  Many members visit France in the summer months so have another agenda at that time. 

If you have done 'some French' before but you are very rusty or not too confident then this is probably the group for you. You will be welcome to come along and try.  If you find this level is too difficult or too easy then we offer French at two alternative levels - Total Beginners (Wednesday at 3.45 pm in the Guildhall) and Intermediate (Wednesday at 2.00 pm in G14)so you should be able to find a level to suit you.

We aim to do some reading, listening and speaking at each session but we do not do much formal written French.  We use a text book, CDs and a series of short videos.  The emphasis is on using French in everyday situations which you will encounter. We aim to have fun while learning, to keep it easy, non-threatening and also not to embarrass or put pressure on anyone.  The class numbers around 10 and there is nearly always room for an extra person.  Any further information can be obtained by contacting me by telephone or e-mail.
