Event Information

Hello I'm Doreen Tildesley,
I lead the gardening group along with my colleague Sue Fraser. This new group was started in February 2009 and during this last 18months we have had a variety of speakers passing on their expertise and wisdom on many gardening subjects. 

      The  group meets  monthly in The Cheadle Cricket Club, Tean Road. Cheadle.  ST10 1LX.  on various Tuesdays. 
Meetings commence at 1.30pm and finish approximately 3.00pm.

February 7th             "Raising a Blue Tit Family"                David Tideswell - local orthithologist

March 6th                    Gardening for Spring and Summer

April   3rd                     "Top Tips"Traditional Gardening Techniques

May 8th                   Visit to Heath House Nurseries, Forsbrook for demonstration on hanging baskets/tubs etc.Meet 1.30pm at Heath House Nurseries.

June  19th              Visit to "The Old Vicarage" Fulford, nr. Stone ST11 9QS. Please meet at the Garden at         2.15pm.Admission £4.00 refreshments available.  This is an NGS garden, open for charity.

 July   10th                  NGS Garden visit. "Woodleighton Grove Gardens", Uttoxeter, ST14 8BX (2 adjoining gardens) Admission £3.50, for both gardens.  Refresments available.    Meet 2.15pm at the gardens.

August  7th                "Creating an NGS Garden" - Graham and Judy White of Woodleighton Grove, Gardens Uttoxeter. Talk and presentation.  Cricket Club.

September 18th           Propagation

Meetings commence at 1.30pm until approx. 3.00pm.
